Two great men were on the ship Elizabeth when she landed in Philadelphia in 1733. They brought their families to the New World to find a new life. Both of these great men were named Johan Foust. This can generate much confusion for us amateur genealogists but don’t despair. I’ll clear up some of that confusion as this website develops. Johan Peter’s family migrated to the Carolina’s and beyond, but Johan Philip and my ancestors were pioneers in the Ohio valley. I can’t wait to tell you some of those stories. Many websites and family histories from descendents of Johan Peter Foust are on the Internet, but I haven’t surfed across any for Johan Philip Foust, my g-g-g-g-g-g-grandfather. Therefore, this website is dedicated to Johan Philip Foust, his wife Anna Catrina Ruth, and his thousands of descendants who should understand their special place in the history of the United States of America.
